The Sanders Vacation in Karangasem | From Family Fun Session to Sacred Moments

Some places become special because of the memories we leave behind. For Sarah and her husband, Candidasa-Karangasem was one of those places.

They returned to Karangasem-Bali for a family holiday with their three children, and during our correspondence, Sarah shared photos from their wedding in Candidasa several years ago. She wanted their family photos to be taken around some of the same places that had once been part of their wedding story.

So we spent the day exploring the Candidasa area, turning it into a fun little photo tour with the whole family. With three children along for the adventure, there was plenty of movement, laughter, and spontaneous moments as we revisited the places that held special memories for Sarah and her husband.

After the tour, we continued to Siri Mendira Beach Villa, where the family took part in a traditional Balinese *melukat* ceremony. The atmosphere changed completely, becoming quiet, peaceful, and deeply meaningful. We stayed until sunset, documenting the ceremony and the family sharing this special moment together as the last light of the day slowly faded.

From playful family moments around Candidasa to a quiet and sacred sunset at the villa, it was a beautiful day that brought together old memories, new experiences, and the joy of being together in Bali.
